Comments: The stone reveals a bright internal flash.

The original rough was weighed 8.59 Cts. Cutting reduced the rough by 80% retaining 20% of the original stone (Only the best was kept).  

Iolite is a beautiful stone was subject to stress and strain during or just after mineral formation.  See the light whitish bands along partially healed fractures within the stone.
